    Q&A

Q1: What information is provided upon completing the carbon inventory?

A1: Total GHG emissions will be measured in metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) after activity data is collected for calculation and inventory. In compliance with the ISO 14064-1:2018, the GHG emission report includes detailed data verification, data collection processes and the calculation methods along with data quality scores and uncertainty analysis for a third-party carbon footprint verification if required. A verification statement will be issued upon approval.

Q2: What is the GHG report used for?

A2: Think of a GHG report as a check-up for symptom diagnosis and improvements. A thorough inventory report gives you actionable insights on emission sources and total emissions within its facilities, which help enterprises identify emission hotspots and implement carbon reduction measures to optimize environmental performance.

Q3: If a required emission factor is not found, can users add it themselves? Is there an extra charge for factor addition on GreenSwift?

A3: GreenSwift provides a coefficient update service and an easy-to-use coefficient management interface, allowing users to replace specific emission sources during calculations. A coefficient management center is soon to be available to further support this feature at no additional charges.

Q4: Are there limits on the number of users or organizational boundaries?

A4: An admin and sub-admin accounts can be created with no limit on the number of users. The admin can oversee and manage all sub-accounts within a company. Also, users can set as many organizational boundaries as needed with no limit, which enables flexible configuration and scalability.

Q5: Is the deployment of GreenSwift Carbon Management Platform cloud-based or on-premises? Any security feature included? What language does it support? Do you provide English service for training and technical support?

A5: GreenSwift Carbon Management Platform is a cloud-based solution using SaaS architecture, with service availability guaranteed at over 99%, in line with Amazon’s SLA standards
GreenSwift employs a zero-trust architecture and all development processes stay compliant with ISO 27001 standards in accordance with privacy and data protection regulations. GreenSwift only gathers the data essential for its services with no excessive or unnecessary data collection. Clients can always inquire about their data collection at any time and reach out to us for more details.
GreenSwift supports Traditional Chinese and English, with English assistance available upon request.

Q6: What consulting services or guidance do you offer?

A6: We offer tutorials on how to implement GreenSwift, with carbon inventory procedures guided by consulting professionals we partner with. Clients can choose the guidance service that best meets their needs during system evaluation.

Q7: Is GreenSwift compatible with multi-department and cross-site use?

A7: GreenSwift fully supports multiple departments and facilities. Users can create accounts based on organizational structures. A multi-site reporting feature is currently in progress. Report filtering by department and weighting is soon to be available to provide flexible solutions to accommodate various organizational needs.

Q8: What sets GreenSwift apart from other carbon inventory tools and government-launched carbon calculators?

A8: GreenSwift does more than just annual reporting and report generation. It is a useful tool that helps conduct carbon inventories in alignment with ISO 14064-1 standards, with plans to pursue certification of ISO 14067 and ISO 14068 to support group-level carbon management towards net-zero emissions. GreenSwift features segregation of duties, proactive notifications, data analysis, dashboards and custom carbon reduction planning to ensure seamless cross-departmental collaboration for effective data collection and management.
Users can switch to Global Warming Potential (GWP) values based on scenarios, reducing the effort of recalculating and auditing when working on different IPCC reports (such as AR5 or AR6). GreenSwift offers flexibility in role setting and task assignments within an organization, simplifying data consolidation and report generation to meet stakeholder needs.

Q9: Can consulting firms use GreenSwift to assist clients with their GHG inventories?

A9: Yes, consultants can log into the platform to conduct online inventories and directly assist clients. Consultants will have access to client data they are assigned to, and access permissions within the same organization can be customized to ensure data security and confidentiality. Data is shared between consultants only when they collaborate on the same project; otherwise, client data remains securely isolated.

Q10: Can GreenSwift integrate with existing ERP, HR software or other modules?

A10: GreenSwift is designed specifically for group-level operations, focusing on report generation to meet diverse stakeholder needs. While direct integration with ERP, HR software or other modules isn’t available, users can manually import data and upload supporting documents through GreenSwift to ensure data accuracy and a well-documented process.
